About Me

Hawaii's position, cut-off by prevailing currents and cooler waters, means that it has developed many distinctive species of fish and coral that are rare elsewhere.  The links below will take you to pictures, descriptions, and discussions on these and other species stocked in this aquarium.

bulletFish   -  including the Snowflake Moray Eel, the Black Surgeonfish or Chevron Tang, and the ubiquitous Yellow Tangs.
bulletCorals  -  Acropora's are rare here, so species of Montipora, Porites, and Pocillopora dominate.
bulletOther invertebrates  - urchins, shrimps, sea cucumbers and snails.
